Everyone knows The Luminous Landscape community is where it's at for pixel-peepers who own five-figure cameras that can shoot up to 80mp, because damn if he wouldn't be shooting with a modern view camera equipped with a scanning or digital back right about now. 5DmkII | 24-70 f/2.8L II | Pentax 645Z | 55/2.8 SDM | 120/4 Macro | 150/2.8 IF

Sorry Canon, you're very good but not the best. Best I can afford though. Can't imagine Ansel using a measly 1D for his landscapes. materialism ~

airfrogusmc I'm a chimper. There I said it... More info | He probably wouldn't be reading this forum. He's be reading a forum or maybe creating a forum dedicate to the digital large format zone system photographer.

Adams wasn't then and wouldn't be now a pixel peeper. He was a photographer. A zone system photographer that was more interested in the final image than anything else. He was a master craftsman and an amazing artist and he wasn't a gear head. He owned gear that matched his style of shooting and kept that to a minimum. Heres a quote by him if you don't believe me.
