Yes, I know... Another "what do i buy" thread. Bear with me, here.

I own the following:

- 5D MarkII
- Canon 580exII
- AB800
- 1 Cactus Wireless Flash Receiver V4
- 1 Cactus Wireless Flash Trigger V4

What I'm trying to do:

- Trigger both flashes remotely. (OCF)
- Looking for something that syncs faster than 1/160. (Cactus v4's don't)
- Not break the bank.

===============

As you might notice, I don't have enough receivers in my current kit. And I'm not 100% happy with the Cactus set to warrant just buying another Cactus V4 receiver. I hate they don't sync faster than 1/160.

I was looking at the pixel knight set. (E-TTL)

Plus I would need an additional receiver.

So, that puts me at about $240. Which is fine with me.

But, I'm unsure if this is really what I need or should I choose a different path.

What are your thoughts on this? Should I go with a different setup?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The AlienBees CyberSyncs sync at 1/250th, if I'm not mistaken. And the 580EXII has a PC Sync port, so you can just plug a CyberSync into your Speedlight. I modded my 430EX2 to be able to take a wireless trigger and it works fantastic

I don't have a problem syncing my cheap RF-602 triggers at 1/250th.

Yea, it's weird. I actually used to be able to hit 1/250 with my XTi + cactusV4's, but for some reason I can't go faster than 1/160 with my 5DMKII. I see black bands even at 1/200 on fully charged batteries.

I've gotten sick of it, and pretty much decided that I need something that can sync faster.
