580EX II to 30D PC Sync Cord

Stupid question here, what type of cord would I need to make this work? Male to male or male to female.
Also, what would be the easiest(and cheapest) way to go off camera (wireless of not) with this setup? Currently I am thinking a 33' PC sync cord but other advices are welcome.
