I was asked to speak to a group of cub scouts tomorrow about the science of photography. I though it would be fun to show them how science uses photography. So I through together a "time lapse" deal, showing what happens when a balloon explodes.
We filled a balloon with baby powder, set the camera at 1/640 sec, f2.8, ISO 1600, and a bare flash on manual 1/16 power in high speed sync, camera left. I got 4 shots before the flash pooped out -- 10 frames per sec.

I think the cubs will like this -- they love anything that explodes!
