My little one turned 7 months old this past week. She also cut her first tooth and hasn't been in the best mood for pictures, but I like this one that I snapped while she was playing. Figured I'd share :) Any C&C welcome!

Eyes, wry smile and hair twig combine to make this a keeper.

Here's a crude background clean.

Thanks everyone! I was thinking of trying to clean up the background as well, but she keeps me busy and I barely even have time to upload pictures sometimes!

The hair flip is a regular look for her. No matter how I brush it, or wash it, it always comes back. Here's one of her today, same flip!

I say keep the hair flip because in a short time it will be gone and the only thing to remind you of how cute it was is these gorgeous photos. She is a doll, congratulations!

Awesome! Are you using the 50 to get that much DOF? Can you give some PS pointers on getting her eyes to pop like that?

Yep the 50 is my favorite lens, I haven't taken it off since I got it. Although I think I may try a 35mm, I have a small apartment and as she grows it's getting harder to get all of her in the picture without being up against a wall! Both pictures were at f/2.2 with natural light.

Honestly, her eyes are just like that! I just adjusted exposure, curves, contrast and did some noise reduction in Lightroom, resized in Photoshop and voila!

Very nice shots! I also have that 50mm and love it. I just got the 35mm cause I didn't want to be against the wall either hahaha.

Great shots!
I'm jealous, I can never seem to get such sharp shots with my 50mm 1.4 always a bit soft until f/2.8 or so...

My Daughter loved the "jump-a-roo" too... made me smile...
