I know they won't price match other retailers. But, if I buy an item, and they lower their own price 3 days later, will they price match their own lower price?

Many retailers will do so within 30 days of purchase.

The last time I tried that, about six months ago, they said no, they could not give me the difference in price.

I did this past December and was successful (item was en route). But then tried again a few days later (another, much bigger dip) and they said NO. Hit and miss. You might try as well.

well, I had a leverage as I could refuse the item and order a new one at a lower price too. Don't know your situation.

Last week I bought a laser printer for $680, and this morning it is $650. I already have it in my possession, but I have not unpacked it yet.

It's only $30, but was wondering. Thanks.

They had a published policy change some time ago that they would no longer give refunds for price decreases. Previously, you could repeatedly request a refund on the same item as the price changed downwards within the eligible time window. I once requested a refund on a TV and before they could issue the credit, it dropped in price again ... they just added that into what I had requested and credited my card without me even asking again!

Although you can return a recently purchased item and reorder at the lower price, you will be charged the shipping to return it. I don't know what they do if you refuse to accept delivery of it, but I do know that they maintain a list of repeat offenders and eventually will no longer accept your returns (much like many merchants these days).

For me the shipping would be more than the price difference, but I really don't like doing stuff like that anyway.

I see you're in Cedar Rapids. I'm in Marion.

Yeah, I noticed that awhile back and enjoyed your Iowa landscape photos.

Try live chat, they've made "special exceptions" for me on many different cases by issuing credit to my account for the difference. Give it a try.

Especially since it was only a few days ago.
