Here's the comparison between the $16 Sto-Fen diffuser cup for the 550 EX and the Adorama Beauty Dish. Eyeballing it, I guess the Sto-Fen cup is 1/5 the size (or less) of the dish. I like the effect but am not sure it's worth the partial loss of IR focus assist in a dark room. If I could cut out the bottom 10% of the dish to allow room for the IR assist window to shine, I'd like it better.

I'd like to see other's experience with the dish...

Looks like the most common application would be head shots or 3/4 lengths.

Anyone tried effect on full body shots
