The UH-1Y was, for all intents and purposes, nearly silent by comparison. Just a low rumble (almost like a loud cat purr) instead of the traditional wop, wop, wop, wop... The four-bladed rotor (and whatever voodoo they did to the blades) makes a big difference. That "woop, woop, woop," is unmistakable and is one helluva sound. Kevin
