7D Exposure

Any tips for a 5D Mark II user spoiled by Magic Lantern - needing to learn the right way of getting exposure right on the 7D?

Is it take a test shot and check the histogram?

Why not just turn on exposure simulation and play with settings until what you see on the screen is what you want? Just go to the fourth red-colored menu and turn it on from there.

Either way works.

Will try exposure sim method, I guess I haven't used this as small white out's can be hard to pick up sometimes. Thanks for the replies.
