You will love the 7D it is great but don't worry about upgrading to the 5D3 as no one knows when it is coming, no one knows the spec and no one knows the price. Full frame is nice but I don't think members are "beginning to really rave" about it. That has been going on for some time. Very lucky to have a lot of nice toys

I bought mine a couple months back to go with my 60D. 7D is a monster of a camera, and you may be overwhemed at first, but you'll get thru that and will come to love it. Read all you can on the 7D before it comes. It will be a huge help. Again Congrrats!!
Don't get hung up about it. They are all great and they are all different.
