First event of the year was an early one for me. Spent the day trying some new camera gear and attempting some slower shutter speeds with the longer lenses.

These are a mixture of 7D for the long stuff and 1Ds mkii for the shorter stuff.

The pics....

1/ Mclaren over hilltop

2/ TR4 pushing lap after lap

3/ I'm trying to get more shots around the paddocks this year

4/ Lovely alfa
IMAGE: http://www.dmj-photography.co.uk/forums/masters2011/DMJ_Masters_06.jpg

5/ More 3 wheeling
IMAGE: http://www.dmj-photography.co.uk/forums/masters2011/DMJ_Masters_11.jpg

6/ that alfa again, a bit slower on the shutter than I usually go for

7/ Lunch break
IMAGE: http://www.dmj-photography.co.uk/forums/masters2011/DMJ_Masters_05.jpg

8/ and to finish, a bit slower again

I do really like this set, imaginative and very well taken,8 is terrific.
Looks a very cold great day,and can imagine a good light sunny day would really make these shots outstanding.

Thanks, much appreciated. 8's my personal favourite from the day. And yes your right, a bit of sun would have made my day.

Thanks. I've got many similar shots of the TR4 (race was 1hr 20mins), was very impressive driving.

Absolutely superb set. Love the paddock shots as well. Sometimes those are my favorite, as was the case here.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing!

Really really like all these, especially 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8. Interesting to see you're using an 85mm prime for the paddock shots - I think I might give this a whirl myself.

Thanks, I'm really liking the 85mm, forces you to think a bit more when composing and the DOF gets rid of all the background clutter. Give it a go if you can.
