I know that there are other threads but I am looking for a new camera backpack. Must have a waterproof cover built in. I need to be able to carry the following:

7D
17-55 lens with hood
70-200 2.8 IS with hood
External flash

Don't need to carry a laptop.

How is the Lowepro Pro Runner 300 or 350? Any other recommendations? Thank you in advance.

I just ordered the dakine mission photo pack. Has a removable camera block which will be good so I can use as a school pack as well

I have the Dakine Sequence photo pack. It's a little big, but thats a good thing.

Great photo pack.

I have exactly the same setup and am also deliberating over a new bag (visting Florida in May).

Currently I've got a Lowepro Flipside 400. Great bag but its huge for a vacation trip.

I'm thinking about getting the Think Tank Sling-O-Matic 20, I think it will fit the setup quite nicely.

or8it, do you like your Flipside 400 other than the size? I'm actually looking at the Flipside 300. Looks like I can get all of that gear in that bag. Some good reviews as well.

No sling bags for me....juts don't like the pressure on the one shoulder.

Hey DL Photo. Our equipment list is nearly identical. I'm using a Flipside 200 AW and it's too small (and the one shoulder thing too) and am looking for a new bag also. I'm going to be carrying a laptop also and its been recommended to look at the Caselogic SLRC 206. Looks to be just about right for me.

Thanks GeeMack. I did a lot of searching on this board last night. The Flipside 300 can carry all of the gear that I have....and is quite compact. So, I bought the Flipside 300 last night. Hope it does the trick.

The bag itself is great. I used to own more lenses but got rid of them so it's now too big.

I'm sure you'll get on fine with the 300.

I have the Flipside 300. I bought it not too long ago and think I might sell it and get a Lowepro Fastpack. I need to head to a local shop to see which size to get!

just to throw this out there, my dream bag is the new Kata Bumblebee ul-222. it is pretty much the perfect bag for me but at a price tag of about $280 it will wait...

+1 w/ LowePro Flipside 300. Plenty of room for the gear/kit mentioned.
