I have what may sound like a silly question, but here's what's driving me crazy. I use CS2, and most of the time, if I select brush tool, I get a nice round "brush" to work with. Sometimes though, instead of something round, I get a cross shape instead. I have no clue why this happens, or what to do about it, since I prefer that nice round shape that I can actually see.

Anyone have any ideas?

..or check in Edit>Preferences>Cursors. .. and on a side note. Even tho I don't have "Crosshairs" checked, sometime my cursor shows up that way

Check the size of your brush. If it is too large to be used on the current image/document it will sometimes show as a small cross. Try bringing your brush down in size and see if it changes. All the other suggestions here are valid as well.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Thanks everybody. I'll try all your suggestions until I get it figured out. Actually, I suspect it may be that caps lock. I use it in Lightroom to move my photos forward, and I'll bet I'm forgetting to take it off when I go into photoshop. Who knew?

Thanks again for the help. This has been driving me bonkers.
