Hi all,

We worried for Missy of course when we lost Mr.B. She seemed to watch and worry for him just as we did:

But she is sure a trooper too and continued to maintain her claim on her territory even in his absence:

She was fussy with Ben when he arrived on the scene, despite his advances towards her:

But he is a handsome bird and very attentive towards her:

He is feeding her now, and guarding the nestbox dutifully as she begins building her first nest of the season:

We are hopeful for them both now as the new season gets underway. She is accustomed to and deserves only the best in a mate... we hope Ben will prove to be worthy of her:

Please wish them good luck in the upcoming season.

Kenn

This saga is quickly becoming as fun as the Ducky thread.

Beautiful shots Kenn... by the looks of the feeding shot, the new kid on the block is a model husband ;) I wish you and your friends a calm and safe nesting season.... looking forward to the fledgling photos.
