I just got this lens a few weeks ago, and absolutely love it. The focal length works way better for me than my old nifty-fifty.

Can I see some our your favorite shots with this combo please or similiar T2i, T3i....:)

Here's one of mine from this past weekend. Went on a snowshoe hike for my bday.
Photo is unedited just resized to be able to upload...

Question 1) would be useful in the lens sample area for that lens

Question 2) would be useful in the critique corner area - but I dig the second one. Cool look.

Question 3) yes.

:-)

I can hear you. LOL

Glad you're happy with your lens. I don't have any pictures to share with the 35L/T1i combo but there are tons of pictures in the lens sample archive threads. Very inspiring photos in there. You should check it out.

As for the picture posted above, shooting in snow with a bright sky can be quite tricky. The photo looks to me to be slightly underexposed for the snow and slightly overexposed for the sky. Quite normal without the use of a GND filter. Because of that, perhaps thats why it lacks a bit of punch and contrast. Otherwise, I enjoy your enthusiasm and keep on shooting.

I actually prefer the un-processed pic.

Relax, relax, relax...
Anyways, the original photo is pretty flat, but in the edit the blues are so saturated that they're overwhelming. Try to find a middle ground?

i think the problem may be that you find a good percentage of those on a crop save their money, and get the sigma 30mm instead of dropping the cash for the 35L...yeah it's not all...but probably a lot

I thought about getting the siggy but got a pretty good deal on a used 35L in pristine condition for 1,100 shipped.

Now that's cheap :O
The sigma lens may be cheap and sharp and all but I am pretty sure the 35L has better corner sharpness and produces better bokeh and of course better and more accurate AF than the Sigma which is why I loved using mine together with the 50D

Yeah I thought it was a great deal too! I plan on keeping this lens for a long time and using it when I can afford to upgrade to a 5D mark ii

I think that shot needs a guy in a pink shirt, preferrably named Floyd.

I like the processed image better. Anyway, why you chose 35L instead of 35 f/2.0 or sigma 30?
