These photos were taken during noon time, and I had no strobes available. I only had my 5Dmkii and 200L.

1. I don't think 200mm was an ideal lens to use for such shooting.
2. I hated the direct sunlight causing harsh shadows. I thought the white color would be blown up, but not as bad as I expected...
3. I need to learn how to pose (position) the car.
4. The car was not clean...

Your kind advices would be greatly appreciated, so that I can better prepare myself for the next shoot. Thanks!

Great start! As you learned, high noon is pretty much the worst possible time to shoot a car since the reflections are all off and there are harsh shadows. I recently had to shoot a Porsche in the same conditions, and it was tough! Shooting closer to sunset will get you more pleasing results.

200mm should be fine for shooting the exterior, although I would stick to something wider for the interior for obvious reasons. Don't forget to straighten the wheel for interior shots!

Try strobes out on 1/4 power or so when you get the chance. If you have three, aim one at each wheel and one at the nose/rear/whatever's facing the camera. If you only have one, just use multiple exposures to get the same look.

You're off to a good start! Keep shooting and post up your results here!

Sunrise/sunset are the best times. You got some blown out areas in the car.
200mm is fine. I prefer at least 100mm focal lengths when I shoot.
You want the face of the wheel towards the camera, so you did a decent job there
Watch your backgrounds. You have a pole growing out of the roof in shot 3
Not a very interesting background for this car. Also, watch your reflections
You need a wide angle lens for interiors. Long lenses shooting in doesn't really work well.

All in all, one of the better starts I've seen. You don't need strobes. Just good light and maybe a reflector or two.

Thank you folks for such nice advice and welcome.

OwensSi:  I only said that because I don't think the 200L was suitable for shooting cars... I just thought my other lenses would be better for shooting cars, like the 50, 85, or even 135... I just thought the 200 would be too long. Obviously I didn't know what I was talking about... ;)
