Tiger Lily bud..first time trying Macro..

These were taken with my point and shoot S5 IS. This was my first time playing around with the Macro setting. How do these look?

Good captures.
One thing you need to watch for with P&S macros is that because of the very wide angle lens, the background tends to be less blurred and more recognisable than when shooting with a DSLR. This can then draw the eye away from the main subject.

Thanks for the tip, I just received my new used 300d.. my very first DSLR. So I'm looking forward to trying out some Macro shots with it.
