I can't put my finger on it but there is some magic that happens at 135mm (equivelent on crop).

Good choice, the CA isn't as bad as some make it out to be. Just watch your highlights when wide open and you should be fine.

This lens is amazingly sharp! I bought mine 2 weeks ago so I can take pictures of my daughter playing inside.

She is too cute!!

My 35L has bad CA too. I have noticed if you have the wrong white balance setting it is much worse.

This does not stop me from absolutely adoring the lens and i do not regret getting it.
I would totally get the 85mm f1.8 if I were you, just use somehting else outside in bright sun light.

I actually had very good experience with Adorama.

I second, third & fourth that.. Never had an issue... but never had to return anything either.. I guess that is where a lot of issues are.. Amazon has a no questions asked return policy & will pay for return shipping... I wonder if anyone including B&H does that

I am shooting with a Canon XS now... Would you recommend that I get this lens for indoor & outdoor portraits? I have a small in home studio 15 ft of working space from wall to wall. Will this be too long?

It would be perfect! I love this lens for that reason. My daughter's bedroom is 16x17ft. I take most of my pictures of her in her room because the ceilings are perfect for bouncing my flash off of and the shooting distance is perfect! Get it, you wont regret it.
