Caught this Chinook pilot (female) doing some "dust bowl" training in an RAF Chinook HC.3 after sun down.
Struggled really bad with the light, the sun had set and clouds were rolling in.

Awesome shots! And she had time to "spot the photographer" and wave, too! ;)

Awesome set under the conditions. Very well done, something about a Chinook just gotta love them!

A bunch of equipment with Canon on it and some stuff with Sigma on it. The desire to capture a moment in time and share it with you! :)

Great shots! I don't know much about helicopters, or turbines for that matter. What keeps all that sand out of the engine?

last shot is the winner for me!

Agged: If you look at the engines on the rear, you'll see the front looks kind of like a mushroom? they've got a filter there to keep the sand out. :)

Nice set. Good to see the dirt shots.
#5 probably worst affected by bad light but it's got that fantastic heat haze at the rear.
