Our fountain is a frequent stop for drinks and bathing. Shot with a rented EF500mm f/4L IS USM, 1/1250 at f/5 with high sunlight behind the camera. No sharpening in PP.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

In the second picture he's perched on a gift from a local copper artist. We thought it was just a whimsical addition to the fountain but the birds know better. After drinking at one of the lower pools they often hop up to the the hummingbird.

The fountain itself is a huge draw. We'd read that flowing water is attractive to birds but, at least here, that's an understatement.

I have a small SPond here( hot tub/pond) and its got a huge pump, goes 24/7, and the birds are constantly enjoying it. I put a small turtle pump into one of the baths last year, and even just that little trickle of water attracted birds that normally wouldn't t stop for a bath.
