I also used to have the same camera and it got me to pay more attention to the focus points after getting the same kind of photos. Gearflickr

This was actually my very first shot with the lens and the camera so I'll try next time to put her eyes in those focus points. Also my first time in years using a view finder.. I have been using point and shoots that display the shot in the LCD screen ever since they came out with them so It will be an adjustment for me to go back to using the viewfinder with this 300d. But I figure this is my very first DSLR camera and I'll use it for just a little while before I move up to a newer model. I was thinking about the 60D when I get ready to move up.
