I am putting together a photo slide show for my camera club, and I would like to play some background music to go along with the images. Can anyone suggest some mellow songs or artists that would have broad appeal? I am not good at selecting music.

Thanks in advance.

I love Jack Johnson... it reminds me of something that would play in the background while sitting in a nice, quiet coffee shop.
But that's just me though. No idea if he's a "broad" artist. haha.

These may be of interest; "Adagio for strings" by Samuel Barber, "Adagio for guitar" by Thomas Albinoni and "Lily was here" by Dave Stewart & Candy dulfer

In theory, you owe royalties for the use of music played for events like weddings. Before you go about using popular songs recorded by known artists, I highly suggest that you seek out royalty-free slide slide show music, which may be used without payment of royalty to the artist who was recorded.
