When you see "Traverse Unseen" go to the top right of the page in the same thread and click on "Followed Thread"

Then click on "Make All Posts Seen", verify you want that done.

Did not know this. Thank you Charles :-)

I'd really rather not be seen doing that, Charleston, but thank you anyways! (the verification process is too much to handle)

Psst: I already knew that but don't tell Charles, he didn't know that I already knew it!

Welcome to the worrying therapy session. Who wants to start?

I'm worried that my laptop is going to go caputs. It has just turned off 3 or 4 times on its own in the past week or so.. Probably thermal, but so far all I have done is changed my power plan from performance to balanced.

So now I have to worry that my laptop is going to leave me high and dry at the least oporture time possible.

Easy fix (possibly if it is thermal). Take your shop vac (or regular vac but shop vac works better), reverse it and press it to the vents. Use a washcloth if you can't get a tight seal. You want to force all the air into the PC. Sometimes you'll even see dust poof out.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

The laptop is a Toshiba Qosmio. They are famous for having thermal problems. A year or two ago I tried to take the case off and blow the heat sinks out but I quit before I got it done. When I removed a screw by the hinge, it messed up the hinge. Since I was only doing as preventive maintenance, I just put the other screws back in and quit.

Now it needs it for real. Guess I will try the reversed vacuum trick. Sounds much safer than trying to do the same thing with the air compressor I have for my pneumatic wrenches.

If you got a compressor, that works better. Just don't set it to 120 psi.
