Stretching is about the best thing you can do as you get older else you become an Ent.

I don't know what an Ent is. I'll just say that you need to stretch in order to delay becoming an R.I.P.

Ents are living trees. Not very bendable. :)

The older I get, the more important it is for me to spend 10~15 minutes each morning just getting everything ready to move again.

10-15 minutes every day?! . WOW!

I don't do 15 minutes of anything fitness related PER YEAR, let alone spend that much time on it every day.

On long road trips, when I am driving 12-14 hours per day and covering 700 - 1,000 miles daily, I sometimes spend about 30 seconds stretching my legs when I stop at a rest area to pee. . Particularly the right leg. . But that only happens a few times each year. . Honestly can't think of anything else that I do specifically for exercise or fitness at all, ever. . I guess I figure that regular everyday life already involves a good deal of strenuous physical activity, so I don't see the need to do anything just for the sake of fitness.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.

"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

That's not really fitness, it's sort of like brushing your teeth, something you do to prevent problems down the road. I know so many of my family already in their 60s walk like Amos Mccoy, have trouble getting out of a chair, and if they get on the floor with the grand-kids, they are not getting up without help or crawling over to a chair or something. I didn't want the to be me so I stay flexible. I can still do the "get off the floor without using your hands/arms" test.

That's super easy!

I thought my busted up spine would make it impossible or difficult to do that without "cheating", but lo and behold, I was able to do it just the way the guy in that video did with no problem at all. . But I'm only 54 ..... who knows if it will even be possible for me to do that at all in 10 or 15 years.

My Dad has always been quite spry and athletic. . But he's never done any exercises or stretching at any point in my lifetime. . I mean, I'm sure he did that stuff when he was a cross country runner in college, but that was long before I came into existence. . He turned 80 in May, but even without ever doing any exercises, he's still as spry as most guys in their 40s.

I just hope I take after my Dad in this area, as I really can't imagine spending 10 or 15 minutes every day doing exercises or stretching. . I just don't have the discipline or work ethic for anything like that.

Thanks for sharing that video about the "get up off the floor" test. . It actually makes me feel better about myself.

I had joined a gym (specializing in group personal training) when I was on my keto kick, but just recently quick to heal. Sure we would stretch and do cardio, but the weights and steps, pull ups just killed my body. Had nothing but pain in my feet, neck, shoulders. It was brutal. Now after 3 months my body feels normal again. Seems after 50 things just take longer to heal. Right now I just walk during the day, take supplements for inflammation and I feel much better.

I should probably stretch more ...

If you don't stretch, it gets worse. I do boring exercises every day to maintain the ability to bend, reach, and move.

I keep meaning to do so, hopefully get around to it some day.

Could I exercise right now, I would. Sadly I can't but will in the near future. The downside is Winter is coming and I love to walk, without dressing in multiple layers. My neighborhood is great about snow removal, so the sidewalks are always in great shape.

On a different topic, I find myself reaching for my 5Dc more than any other camera right now. I forgot many things due to recent circumstances and the 5Dc just seems to be a great fit for me right now. And all these years later, the images still amaze me. I'm also shooting a lot more in Av mode rather than manual. I've always been a manual kinda guy ;-)a

And now, I need food!

Post here if you dare, and request that the TF change your title.

Why?

She's been missing.

We must locate her.

She is not taking the usual bait.

So, let us be epic.

Dare ya.

S.Horton has been trying to do that since March 18, 2011 and has not yet figured out the true identity of the TF yet, what makes you think I would do any better??
