Funny thing, as a youth, I was pretty hard core music wise. Hated all the 60's folksy stuff, Dylan, S&G, Joni, Beatles, Beaz, C.S.N.Y., The Monkeys. The strumming singers, stand there with a guitar just strumming a chord and whining about something or the pop singers bubbling about something yummy in your tummy. I preferred something a bit harder. Pink Floyd, Zep, Cooper, Sabbath, Deep Purple, Uriah Heap, and such. Then i met an awesome hippy chick. She was into all those singers and to get in her... um... good graces, I had to pretend to like them. So here we are, still together after almost 1/2 of a century and she still listens to that whining and strumming from time to time but at least I was able to show here a better way. Her favorite oldies is now old Pink Floyd. :):). She still isn't a fan of bands like Rammstein, or other head slammers, but the more mainstream like Def Leopard, Metallica, AC/DC, shes ok with. She still puts that other crap on though and I'm still keeping my mouth shut. Good graces is mighty important ya know.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I was never into the hard rock, but I do own some Hard Rock Cafe tee's. I was also never into the bubble gum pop, either. My brother was into all the hard rock stuff though, so I was exposed to it. I don't think I ever subscribed to any particular genre. I just like what I like, even some country stuff.

My guess about WPOS is What Pieces of . . .
similar to calling a person a POS, but I may not be interpreting it correctly.

Well, when you put it that way, it sounds bad. :) On the positive side, I have become really adept at creating lewd lyrics for those bands. :)

Since many of you seemed to enjoy the Sound of Silence cover,
here's the best rock version of The Star Spangled Banner.
It's about the most listenable rock version, IMHO.

And a simple but moving medley of a couple of classics,
