Just picked up 6 bottles of Paczki Day vodka shipped to me from Detroit. Officially goes on sale tomorrow in Detroit and they sell out in a couple days. It's only produced for 1 release per year. My brother and father will probably wind up going for the release party. Pretty delicious!

Sorry my bad. Seems we're talking about the weather. It's cold outside.

Oh man, I forgot about this!!! It's been so long. Also you had to go into the city to get the paczki (pronounced punchkee or ponchek, both are acceptable, but we call them punchkee) donuts! This is almost worth the 12 hour drive, although the Vodka will be gone.

With 6 bottles of Vodka, I doubt anyone would notice :-)

I live in The Great State of Iowa. This Winter has been a rather brutal one with colder temps, more snow and ice and wind. Meanwhile, our meteorologists are talking about Global Warming and explaining how it's affecting us and the rest of the world. Good times...good times.

It was called global warming more often when less was known about it. Now I see the term "climate change" most of the time. It's more accurate; it covers effects like greater weather extremes, drought, flood, bigger hurricanes, all the things that are going on besides an average increase in temperature. But you can hear/read all this from many sources.

I remember way back in grade school, it was the coming of the next ice age. They'd scare the crap out of us kids by telling these horror stories of ice a mile think and mastodons frozen in place. It's always something. :):)

Cold here as well, for 4 days mow. A little winter weather is nice, sort of gets that season out of the way, but 4 days below freezing is crazy.

We've been thinking of retiring further north so we wouldn't have to worry so much about hurricanes anymore. But unlike ice and snow, we can run from a hurricane if we get out early enough to beat the max exodus out of Dodge. :-P
On the other hand, hurricanes and floods are more likely to be more damaging than ice, frozen roads, and snow provided one prepares.
What to do, what to do.

Do you guys have power???

It's my life and I'll get pissed if I want to.

We have had no issues. There are a few lines down here and there, but in the area I'm at, all lines are buried so impervious to ice.

He actually used a phrase I hadn't heard before. Something with world, climate and event maybe but it was late and he only said it once and I was tired. If he uses it again I'll post it.
