We have had no issues. There are a few lines down here and there, but in the area I'm at, all lines are buried so impervious to ice.

Any new lines are now buried here. That will save a lot of future aggravation.

It's just cold today here. In the recent very long and wet storms, my power went out once, very briefly, less than a second, just long enough to need to reset the clocks.

I ordered something to be shipped from New Jersey. At first, UPS tracking said Kentucky weather might cause delays. Now they say Texas weather might cause delays. I guess that's progress. Moving westward, anyway.

We've been thinking of retiring further north so we wouldn't have to worry so much about hurricanes anymore. But unlike ice and snow, we can run from a hurricane if we get out early enough to beat the max exodus out of Dodge.
On the other hand, hurricanes and floods are more likely to be more damaging than ice, frozen roads, and snow provided one prepares.

No, not really. A game my friends and I played in our teens. I think in some parts, it's called The Dozens, though I don't know why. As evidenced, I've lost my touch with the game. The wit is not what it used to be for lack of use over the years... Cause you can't play this game with your wife!

Nah, your wit is still intact. Mine might be slipping though. The really? REALLY? also came from a running joke at the office.

I've never heard of the dozens. I'll Google it and read up on it as it sounds kind of cool.

And you would only die in Iowa in deeply sub zero wind chills. What we have tonight are mild. Plus the state opens huge shelters for anyone who needs a place to stay until the weather changes for the better.

I have found two cable channels that have those shows, but they are not in HD.... haha... like those shows would benefit in HD.

Cozi TV, Comet for SiFi, GRIT for westerns, MeTV, ION, and so many more. It's like being in the 70s again.
