I feed mine dry food. Purina Gentle in the purple bag. Easy on the belly. I've fed this to many of my cats without any issues. I do have a couple cans like you have for treats, but those are for holidays or for after vet appointments (today)

I was told this yesterday.

What are the negatives of dry cat food?
While cats who eat only dry food will generally drink more water, they still don't get enough moisture to support all their bodily functions. These cats essentially live in a constant state of low level dehydration, which can lead to bladder and kidney problems.

She claimed cats get some hydration out of wet food, and dry food leaves them very dehydrated.

Thought of the day. Why are elephants, manatees and humans the only animals with chins?

Do I need to get Snopes involved?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Looks much like my mother in laws profile. You sure that's an elephant skull?

Never met your MIL, but it's possible. My search parameters were rather vague.

My vet just told me the same thing. Especially with older cats, they need the added hydration from canned food, so it looks like I'll be adding wet into the diet. Congrats on Twitter!!!

What wet food did you find? I have what you were using, but if it's not so great I'm wondering what you decided on.

Trying brands Fromm and Stella and Chewy's Carnivore Cravings. The Fromm brand is very liquidly.

Thanks. I'll look at those, but liquidy sounds scary...

Ok, the pate can was firm (This is only my 2nd day). It is odd to see oatmeal consistency for sure. They did sell refrigerated raw meat, rabbit seems popular.

BUNNIES???

I have one can of pate and some cans of shredded chicken and turkey in some sort of gravy... The chicken looked pretty good and she scarfed it down. I'll check out your suggestions... Except the bunny part.

Any hamsters? I'd find another place to shop. My cat needs to put a couple pounds on. She lost some weight in lock-up I guess. Vet would like to see her add 2 or 3 pounds.
