What is the longest word that can be typed with the left hand only?

It's my life and I'll get pissed if I want to.

Lol, he countered with duotrigintillion.

That's raising the bar for sure. I never heard of it.

Assuming you never leave the left hand home keys? Badgers is all left handed.

I was referring to 'stewardesses', at 12 letters, according to one source.

But yours works too!

So, I asked chatGPT. It gave me;

Stewardesses (12 letters)
Sweaterdresses (13 letters)
Aftercataracts (14 letters)
Watercresses (12 letters)

I've never heard words 2 and 3?

Me neither. The double S in three of your four would be a good start in finding words. I got "reverberated" by starting with "re-" and fishing around for what might go with it.

Aftercataract's is a medical condition where the eye becomes cloudy post-op where the cataract was removed.

I know what a sweaterdress is, too. It's exactly what it sounds like.

I would have thought it'd be two words: sweater dress. What's next, poloshirt, baseballcap, cargopants?

Sure, topcoat is established now, like overcoat and necktie and nightgown––but those are shorter. Sweaterdress is a bigger mouthful and a bigger "eyefull" for the brain to take in. In print, it'll often have to be divided at the right margin, creating a pause in a reader's processing.

Sample L-hand sentence: "We were wed at 123 West Texas Street, dear!"

EDIT: Scratch "dear." The comma is on the wrong side of the keyboard.

NEW ITEMS––
Fred saved Sara a better seat!
Teresa arrested Wade at a garage as Vera reassessed a card reader!
Bess saw Wes at a free Easter feast!
A red deer rested at a straw bed!

I can type any word using my left hand only. My typing teacher used to hold my head to the left or the right, but with really good peripheral vision, I could see all the keys. I hated manual typewriters, would make the veins and tendons in my hand feel all wonky. So I'm pretty much a few finger typer. Maybe 3 fingers on left hand, one finger on right. I use my right thumb for the spacebar, that's a win.

I only used a manual typewriter in 7th grade. By 8th grade we had the "new" IBM selectrics(?). Mine was blue. It took me awhile to get used too. I tried a manual typewriter a friend has a few months ago. People in the old days must have had extremely strong fingers.
