Yeah. Probably not going to happen. in 32 years working here we've upgraded computers 3 times. It's just not financially feasible. The copy of Photoshop I use is my own.

I too am nursing a laptop problem my "At" and question mark keys have stopped working, was an intermittent issue but nothing at all now, tried all the normal stuff cleaning with a brush and keyboard vax, checked for driver updates - nothing will help.

I had a 1971 green Duster. It was a decent enough car, very reliable but I really wished it had the 340 V8 and not the 198 inline 6. Did make working on it easy though. Lots of room and everything easily accessible. This was the car. (not my car, but it could have been, just a random web picture)
https://www.classiccarsseller.com …herwood-metallicgf/26.jpg (external link)

My sister had that exact car. Same green, same exact slant 6. She ran into everything with it and it kept on going. It looked like hell but always started and always moved until she was finally hit on her way home from work one day, which ended it. It still started though!

I had the 72 Gold Duster like the one pictured below. My parents gave it to me when I started 11th grade. That was my first car and I loved that thing. It had the 318 V8, and I could break traction on wet or dry pavement by slamming the gas pedal to the floor. I'm sure it's been driven to death and probably crunched into a block, but I graduated high school and got my first real job with that car. Good times...

You can fix that very inexpensivly. Replace the keyboard with a plug-in. If you want something portable, there are those as well.

I have my online keyboard I can use, as for plug in devices its not very convenient as I use my laptop on my lap in my chair not at a desk.

Out of morbid curiousity, I had to Google this. I learned this is a complicated question. If you're looking for a Disney created movie, the death count was 307,148. If say...Marvel produced the movie and Disney distributed it, the death count would be half the universe! Disney is a dark, dark place.

Again, out of curiosity and since I am an addicted user of YouTube, I wanted to know how many videos are on YouTube and was amazed that currently YouTube has at least 800 million videos online. Growing up in the 60's and 70's where information was available mostly from books and other print material, and it could take days or even weeks for a simple book report, I'm amazed how now it's at my fingertips with a simple click of a few buttons. The other amazing thing is that I was able to learn to how to use a pc and master it in able to use it on a daily basis for work.

I can't imagine what type of technology kids today will use in just a few years. I do know that AI scares the hell out of me! That's too close to the HAL9000 which really had a problem opening that pod bay door for Dave.

I know very little about my phone and hate the little keyboard so I pretty much use my phone as a phone and not an IT device. I'm also sort of afraid to hit the "talk" button and say the simple line "beam me up Scotty", out of fear that Scotty is there to do just that. That could also just be the meds...

Having said all that, what one device could you not live without today?

Pocket knife. Everyone need to have a pocket knife at all times. It is an indispensable tool, from opening an Amazon box, cleaning your nails, to stabbing a bear in the eye in case of bear attack, a knife is the one device I could not live without.

It's not a thing, it's a tool. It's my most used tool. Something pops up daily, most times several times daily, where a simple pocket knife is just the right tool. Already today, one package from Amazon needed opening, a couple cardboard boxes needed to be shrunk down, picked 2 tomatoes for breakfast, and I had a thread hanging off my tee-shirt that needed to be trimmed. So just this morning, 4 uses.

Credit card. When Covid became publicized, I stopped using cash as much as possible, to avoid handling money. At first, the virus was thought to spread mostly on surfaces. I've loosened up since and now use cash for some things, but the card is better in other ways. It saves time at checkout. It's needed for online transactions.
