County Cork is wonderful... though it's been years since we were there. I think the Waterford Crystal factory there closed down, which is sad. I was there on business and was able to talk my boss into letting me take a couple extra days there. I brought my wife with me. She had a blast. I worked on week days but had fun with her on the two weekends we were there.

That is my dream vacation. Do you know if there are any La Quinta's there? :-)

I don't think I'd want to do the guided tour thing. Just get a car and wander and get lost and find things the tours don't show you. My biggest obstacle is that I have a serious unfounded fear of flying anymore. No real reason, other than I got stuck in the Denver airport for a week one night. The last time I flew I kept staring at the seams of the plane waiting for them to pull apart and expose the sky. If I knew I was going to Ireland, I think I could get over that fear with those little bottles of liquor.

There was a book written about that, that might help you. By Erica Jong, I think.

Ok, that gave me a great morning laugh! Mostly because it's true :p IKR? Offended. I really want to visit Ireland. County Cork. It's probably the Detroit of Ireland, but thats where my folk are from. Offended, Offended, ... Grammatically offended.

By adding a little punctuation, I just wanted to see a little conversation with yourself. I perceive you as a totally different Being now.

I didn't see any La Quinta's there then, but who knows? We were there in 1990. ;)

My wife roamed around with our rental car during the week. She loved it. We don't do tours either. We'd much rather explore on our own. I loved the scones and garlic butter steaks....... that's about it for good food unless you go Indian.

What about Lucky Charms?

Pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, green clovers and blue diamonds [part of this nutritious breakfast]... oh and more recently, something about rainbows...

I think there are (or were) red balloons and purple horseshoes. Who can keep up?
