No...I see where you're mistaken here. Ultimately, you enjoyed BBQ horse flank steaks. No horn, no unicorn. I don't make the rules, I just spout them as if I did.

I'm sorry but if you go through the trouble of butchering an animal and only eat the flank steak then there are bigger problems afoot than your belief in unicorns...

My BBQ was great. My friend opened his own place after working for years at another. He smokes the meat and it's tender and falls apart so easily. Good stuff...nay, GREAT stuff.

Hooves and the not-so-pristine horns went to the glue factory; Magic Glue.
The really nice horns were rounded off a little, polished up, and can be found for sale at the Adult Shoppe in the various Moose Mosques around the country. I hear they work their magic as well.
