I started the "Lemonade Diet" today. -?

Talk about the worst possible timing... except for maybe Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I will probably regret this, but what is the "lemonade diet"? You'll understand if I'm a bit gun-shy about Googling anything after the "banana hammock" incident.

It's safe to Google. Also known as the Master Cleanse Diet.

Basically, I have no will power when it comes to eating properly; I'm usually an all-or-nothing kinda guy. So, for the nest ten days I'm eating no solid food, and then I'll attempt to stay on a good diet afterwards. I usually fail after two or three months :-( One of these days I'll stick to it.

I remember. But in the late 70's I didn't need any such thing.

But a banana hammock remains a banana hammock. Nothing's changed there. Just don't confuse it with manties or grape smugglers.

I remember that! There was also a cabbage soup diet. Smelled like the sewers backed up.

So for 10 days, all you consume is lemonade?

No.

I also get to consume laxative tea, and/or sea salt flush, and/or magnesium citrate.

Good times.

Reminds me of the one time my dog drank too much sea water at the beach. He never did that again.

Yea, chugging a liter of salt water is horrid. It almost makes me puke every few swallows.

Cit mag is pretty effective. I really don't know much about it, but...why not do a colonoscopy prep with the 64 ounces of gatorade with mirilax, or does that not really accomplish the final goal?

Also, if it makes you grumpy, how will we know when you start and finish? :-)

It doesn't usually make me grumpy. In fact for about the first seven days I feel better and have more energy than before I started. Then I start to drop. One thing... around day three or four, every food commercial on TV begins to look good. My wife thinks it's funny, because she'll catch me saying, "Ooo that looks good," about every food item I see.
