It's been a while since I've been to SF. After that we'll spend a day driving down the coast, and go to Knott's Berry Farm the next day. Unfortunately, before all of this we have to drive to Sacramento to visit my Father In Law first. That's a 9 1/2 - 10 hour trip. And staying in his old 1950's house bugs me. It's not old....It's mid-century.

I went to Alcatraz but never to Knotts Berry Farm, or San Simian (sp?) a.k.a. Hearst castle. The city is beautiful. We lived in Pacifica about 20 miles down the coast from SF.

When returning to Scotland for a visit, my wife gets amazed by stuff that was literally on my doorstep that I never bothered to visit, but now do as a tourist!
