You have an uncanny knack for killing or at least comatizing threads. I'm really surprised that the good and honorable Title Fairy hasn't acted yet.

My title is just fine. You can't fix perfect :-)

"Off ended" is a medieval torture in which they slice your buttocks off and then rub salt on the wounds. Then they roast said buttocks and serve them to the audience.

Is that the origin of the phrase "it tastes like @zz?"

I believe so, yes. But originally, that was a good thing. Especially if it was seasoned correctly.

I'm sort of paranoid to post to this thread for fear I'll mess up a chance at a new record. ;)

You have had to deal with some rather unattractive titles. This is true. I was surprised to see you lose "cream of the crop" so fast, actually. Either you are trouble, or trouble follows you. :p

Need to remember to reply here before I go to bed, so when Ian wakes up in the Shire at whatever time they wake up there, the thread won't seem likes it's comatose.

I prefer going to work on those days, and having rain on my days off. Mainly because we rarely have them, I guess.

Just finished booking a hotel in San Francisco for a couple of days for later this month. Tomorrow we'll book a tour of Alcatraz. It's been a while since I've been to SF.
After that we'll spend a day driving down the coast, and go to Knott's Berry Farm the next day. Unfortunately, before all of this we have to drive to Sacramento to visit my Father In Law first. That's a 9 1/2 - 10 hour trip. And staying in his old 1950's house bugs me.

Just love SF, enjoyed it the final 3 days of my holiday last July. Alcatraz was good, but they never kept my wife, insisted I had to take her back with me :p

I lived in the bay area for 5 years. The problem with living there is you don't do the tourist thing. I went to Alcatraz but never to Knotts Berry Farm, or San Simian (sp?) a.k.a. Hearst castle. The city is beautiful. We lived in Pacifica about 20 miles down the coast from SF.

It's always the same. When returning to Scotland for a visit, my wife gets amazed by stuff that was literally on my doorstep that I never bothered to visit, but now do as a tourist!
