But, long before Sam discovered the forum...

Sorry to burst your bubble, but lots o' titles (including my own) were bestowed upon us members long before December 15, 2006, when you joined this little forum... ;)

'Tis true. Here we find Mark (MDJAK) discovering he's been re-retitled (i.e., not his first title change). And a few thousand (about 10K, actually) more posts on the topic.

The mysterious title fairly lurks in the dark corners of your mind. Waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike and change your title! Mwahahahaha!

When appropriate, I use coolers, rather than cans. So much easier to aim in. Less splatter. Easier to clean, too.

Others are to fill in the next line.

I say "Once upon a time, in an enchanted forum forest......."

and then someone who knows adds something.

"There lived a beautiful woman, whose only wish was to be immortalized as the master of fate. A photographer happened by, Jake as legend has it, and took her photo. To this day, it is the only known image of the creature known today as the Title Fairy..."

QUOTED IMAGE

Jake asked the creature "Oh great Fairy, what is it that you would do should you be loosened upon the membership of POTN?"

"I would bestow upon the mortals constantly changing names, but only when I deem appropriate, and never when asked" she professed.

"And what becomes of those who try to become you?"

"Many have tried" she responded with a wink.

"Tried and failed?"

'Tried and died, Jake. Their titles are forever cursed."

I don't understand why you're so obsessed with that image.

Once upon a time, in an enchanted forum forest......

There lived a small flying insect known only as "Insectikon".
The insect had wings of a dragonfly and the body of a catapillar.
It is rumored that Insectikon and the title fairy did not get along.
As the legend goes, Insectikon was once a powerful gnome that lived in the enchanted forrest.
Insectikon would roam the forrest at night moving trees and rocks about the forrest floor and wreaking havoc within the enchanted forrest.
The title fairy didn't like this however.
She decided the forrest would be a better place without this evil gnome.
It was then that she cast a powerful spell transforming the gnome into the flying insect we know today as "Insectikon".
And if you look closely at the only known image of the title fairy, you might just see Insectikon.

Nah, oh great mates in the fairy wars, do not dismay!

Fear not the fear of fairy vengence, for your cause o discover her identity is just and true.

For she may take our land, our titles, but she'll never take our freedom.

Sincerely,
Mel Gibson
