I'm beginning to see a tread. I just may be in a mood today. G'nite.

Tread or trend? How do you know it's you? Most times it's me.

Speaking of tread, I had to get 4 new tires for my wife van. Texas just eats tires. These had barely 35k miles on them.

What's a 'wife van'. A van that you get intimate with or a wife that's the size of a van?

OK, I'm going to crawl under my rock again.

Something to be wary of then?

It's kind of a scam I think. They charge $18.50 a tire for certificate of replacement. (basically a warranty) Since these tires only lasted 50% of the lifetime of the tire, I got 1/2 of the original purchase price off of the new ones. So 4 235/75 R15 Michelin Defender truck tires for $75 a tire.

Does the certificate of replacement replace the certificate of new installation? Good price, however.

Na, still have to pay $2.50 disposal fee, $16 installation and lifetime spin balancing fee, and $.01 main in rebate form. I have no idea why they charge the 1 penny, but its on there. This is actually our third set of Michelins from them. None have lasted more than 40k miles. They are rated for 70k.
