After pulling up that pic, I have been trying to identify the car. Anyone recognize the logo?

The general shape of the car reminded me of the old Studebaker my parents had in the 1950s. This is a later model than theirs. (external link) The logo matches.

Raymond Loewy designed an astounding number of things besides Studebakers. The Lucky Strike package, the JFK memorial 5¢ stamp, the USPS eagle logo . . .
