Hey thats a cool but strange looking lighthouse.. The whole house is the lighthouse.. Not your traditional looking one by any means. Nice picsture though.

Hehe ......... you've apparently never been to NewFoundLand. There isn't too much there that could be classified as normal. However, having said that; it is one of the most picturesque places and the people are wonderfull.

Cool shot of the interior Jim. What lens did you use for it? And at what length?

Hi all.

Some stunning shots of lighthouses...

Here's one of the lighthouse at Byron Bay on the east coast of Australia (near the NSW/QLD border). Not sure if there was one of these posted already, but here goes anyways.

Eagle,
I have an older Tamron 28-200 that is my favorite walk around lens, due to its incredible range.
The interior shot was at 40MM focal length, f4.0 at 1/15 second hand held while braced. I really wanted to shoot from the top down, but they didn't allow cameras to be taken to the top, as they were afraid they would get dropped, or bump the Fresnel lens, even my best assurances couldn't convince them otherwise. I wondered if they restricted P&S or Cell phone cameras, but didn't think to shoot with my cell phone. Hard to remember it has a camera when you get used to shooting the good stuff.
The view from the top is incredible and would have loved to capture it.
Jim

They are from an old pier that washed away long ago. Thanks for your comment.

This was taken 2 years ago while on a whale watching tour. There were no whales to watch so I turned my Canon Powershot S2 SI (now sold) to the scenery around me. Georges Island Lighthouse is located on Georges Island ...... Duh! In the middle of the Halifax Harbour.

Here is a pic of the point atkinson lighthouse.
I really like the pic, I just wish the clouds were a little different.

I did a quick edit of the sky and put in some other clouds.
Let me know what you think, as I am very new to photoshop.
Thanks Dave
