First to be started in Bass Strait, followed by Swan Island 1845 build Hosted photo: posted by avondale87 in ./showthread.php?p=18913458&i=i113876876 forum: Nature & Landscapes https://lighthouses.org.au/tas/goose-island-lighthouse/ Interestingly the same design was used for Swan Island That was the first completed of the two despite its later start. Plans same, just name change and No 1 or No 2 https://lighthouses.org.au/tas/swan-island-lighthouse/ I think I've a design plan for the light itself somewhere I was part of that great organisation called PWD (Public Works Department) but never got to work on any of these. ![]() Here's the keepers house for both lighthouses Hosted photo: posted by avondale87 in ./showthread.php?p=18913458&i=i225941882 forum: Nature & Landscapes Both from State Library Archives Tasmania (permission granted with acknowledgement) so it says on their site Thanks for supplying the info link Richard - very interesting. Can you just nip out and get an updated shot of it? Your challenge for the week. Ray-P

Everyone here has amazing work, and I would love feedback on these. Image hosted by forum (1002374) © Kassket [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. Hope you don't mind.I don't mind at all, I actually look forward to suggestions from everyone here. I'm trying to move out a bit from my other creative outlets and take up something that gets me out of the house. I love thinking about doing a shot, however there is so much to think about at this point because I'm so new I forget the simple starter things. Thanks for the comment and tip!

It seems you lot down-under gave our poor misunderstood deportees all the good jobs.![]() Also, thanks for the link you mailed me. Again, very interesting, I enjoyed reading it and, as usual, got hi-jacked into browsing through the sub-links. It almost made me book a flight to see for myself ![]() Glad you enjoyed it along with the diversions.

Just wondering why they weren't lit yet? They are both still in service, and a few of the shots I got I caught the light on and facing my direction. I would have really liked to add that to the photos, but I have learned absolutely zero in photoshop at this point to be able to do that yet.
