TC...I have a picture from a calendar in my office cube. I knew there was a reason I recognized this one...VERY weird. Never been there in real life, but now I see another version of it. Definately interesting, to say the least. Never thought I would see another picture this close.

I shot that at 400mm from a scenic overlook on Highway 101, so I wasn't really all that close. I was with a few other POTN members at the time, two of whom (puddlepirate44 and Permagrin) went back a week later to visit the lighthouse in person. You can find a few much closer photos of it in two of Puddles' posts here and here.

Thanks, Lonnie. Heceta Head Light is a beautiful place, and there's a State Park there wherein you can wander around. As Lonnie said, my wife and I went back after our little mini-POTN meet and took some more, and closer shots:

They give tours, too. Here's a shot of the lens from inside:

Nice shot Eagle of my Home beacon Marblehead in Ohio as I sail in and out of Sandusky Bay. I have shot it here from the enterance of the bay that includes the neighboring orthodox monestary onion domes. Makes an unusual sight in NW Ohio.
