I am wondering, if the lighthouse keeper lives there or just visit when needed. I do not see a boat near the island.

That would be quite a swim especially bringing several sacks of groceries with you!! LOL

No keeper, and it's use as a lighthouse ended long ago. In fact, the site was deemed too dangerous to ever have anyone out there past the mid 20th century. There is a wiki page about the place if you want all the details. One interesting twist is that it became a columbarium in later years. That's another thing to maybe look up.

There's a boat landing on the shoreward side of the island, but I don't think there's even a slip for an emergency craft.

I wanted to get to that one while shooting all the others on Cape Cod, but when I looked up what it took to get there, I wouldn't have had the time. That's a good 4 mile walk to and from the parking lot on gravel and sand. Glad for you that you were able to shoot it.
