Mar 19, 2011 07:46 | #6 Aren't all of the above flashes speedlights? If I am reading the title of this thread correctly he is asking about "non-speedlight flashes" which I take to mean A/C powered units, correct?

gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | Mar 19, 2011 07:49 | #7 exactly, it would be good to know what is meant by non speedlight, or speedlite, for that matter flashes. Does he mean studio strobes, or simply non canon hotshoe flashes?

I read the title and thought he was asking a very broad question about all but speedlight options! Maybe the OP can clarify and we can provide more accurate help! Shane W

Mar 19, 2011 08:42 | #10 Permanent banSorry I meant Canon Speedlite alternatives such as the 580 exII. I had one of those but it was simply overkill for me and I sold it, I'm thinking something similar to a 430 ex or heck anything better than pop up flash. My 550 EX Speedlite is for sale, pm me!

So L&L is asking for third party flashes. Personally, I would go for the LP160. That is how i interpreted what he was asking. He mentioned eBay and I have heard the Yongnuo line been referred to as "eBay flashes". 5D*Sigma 50/1.4*EF 17-40/4
