First, I want to apologize because I'm sure this is asked a million times! I have never actually posted on this specific thread/board and usually I like to lurk and read before jumping in with one of those "asked a million times" questions, but this is sort of something I need to know quickly.
My fiance and I just bought a house and will be moving in soon. The previous owner had a studio space set up for art that I am converting into my photography studio. This will be the first time I've ever had a studio and since I rarely shoot indoors and almost exclusively use available light or bounce flash, I need some studio lighting that I can work with and get used to ASAP before I open my studio!
I also have a wedding booked for this summer where the ceremony is at sunset so the portraits will be taken after sundown.
I'd love to find a lighting set-up that would work for both of these situations and not cost too much. I was thinking of just a couple of SunPaks and umbrellas but I wasn't sure if that was the best option and value out there.
Currently I have a 580EX and a 430EX but for the sunset wedding the 430 may not be available (we are double booked). So something that will work with the 580 is obviously ideal.
Also any lighting guides, books, or websites you can recommend would be greatly appreciated! I'm looking to open the studio June 1st and the sunset wedding is June 18th so time is a bit crunched and I'd like to get as much work in as possible!
