Had a pretty good day today with the Rufous, even with the poor lighting. I would have liked to get some shots of our Anna's but the four Rufous that we have are just too agressive...time to get some more feeders :).

They look very nice to me. Do you see hummers there year around or are they migratory? I was in CA in Jan/Feb and completely forgot that they see them all year. Quite strange seeing them in January, we won't see them for another 2-4 weeks.

Our Anna's do winter over, both males and females. Rufous on the other hand don't stay around, though there are a few odd balls every once in a while that are seen during winter and are posted on OBOL (external link) (Oregon Birders on Line).
