So I just put in my order for the battery grip for my 7D from B&H and ordered 2 Sterlingtek batteries from Amazon.

I'm really excited but really sad at the amount of money I just spent. The batteries though are a definite plus to my wallet being 3rd party :D and I've been wanting a BG and spare batteries for a few months :)

Just for reference. The Sterlingtek's will provide the same information like %battery left in the battery info screen right?

cool thanks man.

Does anyone have any personal experiences with these batteries. Like how long they last or if the Canon one will charge them and what they think on them?

Also another question is, is it safe to leave these batteries charging without being supervised? Sometimes I leave the batteries in the charger overnight and just didnt want to have them explode or somethig.

I've been using the Sterlingtek batteries for years on my older 300D, 30D and 40D.
Never had a problem with any of them. I find they outlast the Canon OEM batteries
when taking pictures. And you should have no problem charging them in the Canon
charger. And you shouldn't have any more worries about leaving them in the charger
than leaving a Canon battery in the same charger.
