Remember that a good place to start for composition is the rule of thirds. This flower is dead center and it makes the image scream "look at this flower I have, I'm not a photographer". But you are one, so let loose and use your creativity! Canon T1i/500D

More info | Pointing the camera downwards onto a flower is great if you want to get all those folds of the petals in, up close.but for interest, get to the level of the flower, try different angles and light. you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.
