Great post by Slaterza.

I think you have a good foundation for great pictures. You just need to work on your PP. Do you shoot in RAW?

Also, since you don't have a portable battery, and you're only messing about in the garden, you could run an extension cable from the house to power your strobes outside.

I do shoot RAW. I know I really, really, need to work on my PP...I think I need to find my *style* for it..time to shoot a lot! Haha.

Ahh yes, that would work! Thank you.

Slaterza is on the right track. I'd adjust contrast, black, and luminence and saturation a bit as well in LR 3. Your model rocks...looks like it was a fun shoot. I like to shoot scenes like this with a 70-200 f2.8L IS. Just for grins what aperature did you use on this?

Thanks for the CC! I really, really, need to work on my PP...and find my style.
LOL...I suppose it was fun. I mean, when its just myself...well, I can get a bit bored or flustered with myself. hahaha.

I wanna shoot some portraits with the 70-2002.8...and some friends are letting me barrow theirs for a while. :D Booya! I shot the one with flash at 4.0 and the rest were at 2.8.

lol Oh I feel the pressure now! I get so uninspired when I go to do these shoots. ): I have ideas, but it would be so much more easier if there was two of me.

Not yet! May 19th. (: Still got a few weeks. It can't come fast enough.

Well as long at its planned for the weekend! haha. That's when I do my 52week shot..either Saturday or Sunday...though its suppose to rain this weekend and I REALLY wanted to shoot outside. ): Not to many...all my friends are out of state/country so finding people is......hard. :P

Uhmm...only a little trouble. We decided not to break into the "governor's" house(its not the real governor's house, but that's what its called) and re-inact Pirates of the Caribbean....... hahahaha. But we most definitely run on the beach like idiots. (we have a slight POTC addiction. lol.) more memory cards are on my list to get! Thankfully my birthday is like two weeks before I leave, so maybe some people will buy/give me money for such things. hahaha..

LOL well nothing "planned" per se, but I always lug around my camera. Ya never know! Maybe i'll have to start doing the 52 week thing. If I have a deadline to follow I might be a little more focused in getting photos done lol. Rain huh? well maybe you can figure out a way around that pesky little water problem for your 52 week shoot. And you seem personable Im sure you can make new friends.

Haha yeah Id stay away from the "governers" house. Pirates was a cool movie though! lol. and money for such things is always a plus ;-)a. I broke one of mine today so I need to get a new one. No longer buying anything under 8GB. These 18MP pics are killin me!

The 52weeks really MAKES me shoot. Because this week...SO not feeling it. No ideas. Blahhhhh. But after waking up late(hey, its saturday), working out and mom asking if I wanted to go shopping....I think I may have an idea that's inside. :D yay! And naturally it was gloomy this morning, but while in the mall the sun decides to come out. lame.
lol, thanks. I'm pretty friendly one-on-one. In groups...ehhh. I can be known to be VERY shy. Workin' on it. haha.

lol. We thought so. I'm not sure what size I should get. :-/ I have 2gb right now, and when shooting RAW I can put about 100-120shots on a card. Sooo..I'm not sure. 4gb maybe? I'm not sure how I feel about like an 8gb and then have like 400 huge raw files downloading at once. Methinks it might take FOREVER!
