Ahh, don't let that old man MDJAK freak you out. He's harmless, old, senile, deaf, but knows beauty when he sees it. ;)

Haha well maybe I'll have to take up this 52 week photo project. Hey, might as well keep the creative side of my brain turning, even if I have to force myself lol Hope your idea panned out for you! Guess well find out when you post your next set haha. As for me all I did was pull my camera out to get a group pic of a get together we had tonight. Slackin! yes I know. In defense I have been busy getting ready for a trip this week, where I will hopefully get some great pictures on. Just need to find a pelican case for my camera. Dont do well in groups huh? Im pretty shy as well, when I first meet people so I feel you on that.

Yeah you are right about the transfer time. I have a somewhat older laptop so when I load pictures I usually do it then walk away from the computer and find something to do for ten minutes lol. and I dont even shoot raw very much! Im going to start shooting RAW more though. The way I look at it, is it might take a while to transfer but it will take even longer if you have your pictures spread out over 2-3 memory cards vice one. Most of my cards are 4 GB though, its a pretty good size IMO for the type of shooting I do.

Are you using a card reader or tethering your camera to your computer?

Don't skimp on a card. Get a fast one and a fast reader. It makes a huge difference.

The 52weeks really MAKES me shoot. Because this week...SO not feeling it. No ideas. Blahhhhh. But after waking up late(hey, its saturday), working out and mom asking if I wanted to go shopping....I think I may have an idea that's inside. :D yay! And naturally it was gloomy this morning, but while in the mall the sun decides to come out. lame.
lol, thanks. I'm pretty friendly one-on-one. In groups...ehhh. I can be known to be VERY shy. Workin' on it. haha.

lol. We thought so. I'm not sure what size I should get. :-/ I have 2gb right now, and when shooting RAW I can put about 100-120shots on a card. Sooo..I'm not sure. 4gb maybe? I'm not sure how I feel about like an 8gb and then have like 400 huge raw files downloading at once. Methinks it might take FOREVER!

I did something different today..well, not "different", but not what I had planned... lol.

I have the card reader in my computer(laptop)...since I still shoot with my rebel I use SD cards. When I have about 100shots on the card, it loads in about...eh...2min? Maybe. lol. I do have a card reader around here somewhere.. ha.

Yeah nuts about perfectly describes this weekend. So much going on right now! lol Ive got a 4 day kayak trip coming up on Tuesday so Im running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get last minute things ready for it. Gonna be a good time though!

Yeah I know it lol. Ive been putting it off long enough. Ive been doing some reading on it and I've already taken some shots in RAW. All I have is Canons Stock program for it though, I need to get a better RAW editing program I think. Can you use lightroom for RAW?

Sounds like a fun trip! Though for a moment I thought you a bit crazy, since its like... 40out right now, but then remembered you're in good ol' texas. hahaha. have fun!

I do know that some people use the canon software to edit their RAW files. And yes, lightroom can handle raw. :D Each time I use it, I get more and more amazed by it. lol. Its simple, but there are all these *little* things that really finish off a shot without having to upload in photoshop.

Hahaha well its going to get about 45-55 at night but the highs are supposed to be early 90s. I have been known to fish and kayak in freezing tempurtures however, and it wouldnt be the first time someone though me a bit crazy ;-)a Should be a great trip however! Thanks! Hoping I can find a case to keep my camera in.

Ive heard of light room before. I have CS3, just dont know how to use it well at all haha. Maybe I'll have to try the lightroom demo version. I really need to learn how to mess with these RAW pictures though, thats pretty much my next step.

I like your 52 week project - what a neat idea. I also like your expressive abilities and obvious humor.

Yeah so did we. Last two years actually. Facilitated a couple big fish kills on my favorite river. ( I'm a huge fishing nerd lol) although I'm sure not quite as cold as up
There! Lol. I have a couple friends From Kalamazoo who absolutely hate the cold up
That way.

I will do that! Gonna have to check out lightroom for sure. Great new pictures BTW! I like the "rain" incorporation ;)
