I'm facing some problems with LR3 and a HP Photosmart C5580 printer and I just can't find a solution for...

When I try to print borderless, the final result comes out cropped as the red rectangle on the attached photo:

I tried every single setting on LR3 to avoid this and I just can't find a way. Does anybody went trough this and found a solution?
Thanks in advance!

Are you saying that in LR you cropped the image to match the aspect ratio of the paper and the print process crops more but still does a full bleed print?

I had the same problem with my HP C310 wireless printer. I made a target image using Photoshop Elements, printed it, measured the offsets, and created a custom template.

Here is an example. The original is 4x6", the blue line is 1/8" from the edge, and the red line is 1/8" inside that. The green cross is dead center.

I'm rushing off to another project right now, but can post more info and settings later if you need it.

That didn't take as long as I thought...

Here are my custom-derived settings for a borderless 4x6. (Select Zoom to Fill or don't as the individual situation warrants.) The greater-than-zero margin values "push" the edges of the image inward enough that I only lose about 0.01" on all sides. Leaving that little bit of overage ensures that I don't get a very thin white border on any of the edges.

(Note that in the Lightroom preview it appears that I have a white border all around the image, but when it comes out of the printer I don't.)

here's what I did.

Under Page Setup on the left side - borderless printing - check
zoom to fill - check
pull the margins to 0
increase the cell size to match the paper size

I think they can make this a bit more intuitive as I had to google it the first time.

Those are the steps that I've taken with HP printers with good results. But, printers can have their eccentricies, so YMMV.
