Wow. that is an amazing close up, so much detail, even the reflection in the eye is quite amazing.

Thanks for the comments. They are normally very quick animals and hardly stay still long enough to focus on!

This one, being so young, was so fascinated about the world around him that he sat and gazed at it.

I'd only had the 7D for 5 days so I was very pleased with the colour and detail.

That is a great shot. Only pine marten I ever saw was gone in a flash.

Thats not a Pine Marten mate, where was it taken, it doesn't look like a Pure Polecat to me either, i would go for Ferret.
